The Chief Executive and members of the Board of Aggreko plc formally established the beginning of the work of the new production budgeted at £ 20 million pounds (equivalent to U.S. $ 31.35 million) located in Lomondgate, Dumbarton, Scotland.
Rupert Soames, chief executive officer, and John McFall, Director of Regeneration Strathleven Company, participated together at the opening ceremony took place at the place where the factory will be built 170,000 square meters.
The factory aims to create 110 new jobs and secure more than 120 in the area of Dumbarton. It will design, develop and produce Generating Sets and Temperature Control Equipment for use by Aggreko worldwide.
Aggreko purchased the site of 16 acres of SRC at the beginning of this year to replace existing facilities located in western Scotland. A mixed-use project will also include 300 new homes, a new business park, with hotel and facilities for visitors.
Lomondgate is considered a world-class location, a few minutes from the motorway from Glasgow Airport and national parks Lock Lomond and Trossachs.
